When do I apply SWASHCOOL-CELL™?
SWASHCOOL-CELL™ can be applied to cool-cell pads that are already clean to prevent mineral scale and algae staining or to dirty cool-cell pads to clean and maintain them.
How do I apply SWASHCOOL-CELL™?
Pour 1 gallon of SWASHCOOL-CELL™ directly into the sump for every 20 feet of cool-cell length.
Can I spray SWASHCOOL-CELL™ directly onto my pads?
SWASHCOOL-CELL™ was not designed to be sprayed on pads. To apply, pour 1 gallon per 20 ft of cool-cell length directly into the sump water.
What does SWASHCOOL-CELL™ do and what does it treat?
SWASHCOOL-CELL™ balances the pH level of the water in the cool-cell system, binds minerals removing them from the pad, and dispersing dirt and dust so it won’t stick to the pads. This helps to prevent and remove mineral buildup, scaling and iron and algae staining.
Why should I use SWASHCOOL-CELL™?
With its multi-faceted, complementary formulation, SWASHCOOL-CELL™ is an all-in-one, single application solution with chelating agents that bind minerals and iron, allowing for easy removal of built-up mineral scale on pads and preventing minerals from adhering to the filter system. In addition, the dispersant keeps dirt and dust in solution, preventing it from penetrating deep into the pad, while also working to evenly distribute water over the pad for more even cooling during operation and quicker drying between cycles.
IF MY PADS ARE VERY DIRTY, WILL I NEED TO RE-TREAT?
The number of treatments will depend on the degree of dirt on the pads. Very dirty pads will require an additional treatment as it takes time to remove the layers of mineral scale and embedded dirt. If the sump water fills with debris and dirt from the first treatment, but more debris remains on the pad, retreatment is necessary. Sump water will need to be dumped and refilled with fresh water prior to each additional treatment.
CAN SWASHCOOL-CELL™ BE APPLIED DURING THE PRODUCTION CYCLE?
Yes, SWASHCOOL-CELL™ is odorless and since it does not foam, it will not hinder airflow so it can be applied anytime during the production cycle.
How long does SWASHCOOL-CELL™ last?
This depends on pad cleanliness and make-up water quality. pH buffering occurs over 5-10 days depending on water quality.
WHAT IF MY pH IS TOO LOW OR TOO HIGH?
SWASHCOOL-CELL™ contains buffering agents that can neutralize a wide variety of water types and still function as intended. The length of buffering will depend on the water pH and will vary from 5-10 days which is long enough to remove the mineral scale that has already accumulated on the pad.
Will this extend the life of my pads?
Yes, by removing mineral scale and algae stains, reducing drying times and keeping pads dry for longer, SWASHCOOL-CELL™ is a cost-effective solution to maximize evaporative cooling pad efficiency and extend pad life.
